Building the object,
then giving it surface.
Two approaches to surface authorship: procedural materials authored from scratch and photo-derived textures captured from the real product.

From real surface
to digital twin.
Photo-derived textures pulled directly from the physical product, straightened, unwrapped, and reapplied to clean 3D geometry. Used here on ZipSacks and Mela.
Modeled and rendered in Blender with custom-built textures authored to match photo reference.

Nothing Phone (2).
What I love about 3D design is the chance to take something physical, a watch, a shoe, a bottle, a phone, and rebuild it in a space where the infinite is possible.
